Our stop at The Turtle Hospital was truly one of the most amazing experiences we've ever had. To see what these dedicated people do to heal the beautiful sea turtles was such a rewarding tour. It was definitely an education in what we humans do to liter our planet and how it affects the creatures of the sea. They won me over! I want to go back!

I highly recommend visiting and supporting their endeavors. Very informative. You will need to make a reservation, this is important as the tours fill up to capacity. If possible, bring a Go Pro so you can see and take pics above the crowds.

Wonderful place! Fantastic to see these turtles being rehabilitated in a clean, maintained, professional place. Florida should make every boater /fisherman and local resident go through this hospital to learn how to help these turtles by NOT DISCARDING FISHING LINE or HOOKS! Not littering plastics or straws, and watching out for turtles when boating! The missing legs, eyes, and deadly shell damage from humans being careless is heartbreaking. This hospital does a great deed and well worth the entrance fee for the tour, it all helps the non-releasable turtles who live there or who are being treated. Highly recommend to everyone.

Educational and very interesting! You see where your admission fee is going as you see first hand the sick and damaged turtles they are caring for. You are outside almost the entire time, so dress appropriately (it was HOT HOT HOT the day we went!). Our tour guide was very experienced and answered all our questions... would recommend the tour to anyone interested in learning more about sea turtles & interested in helping to support them!

The entry cost was $25 per adult for the tour which takes about 1-1.5 hours. Although this seems a bit much, all of the cost goes towards the amazing work that they do here, and by the time the tour ends you really don't begrudge paying the fee. It starts off with some information about the different typ s of turtles found in the Keys, and what the main threats facing them are, with tips on how we can help turtles and what to do if we spot a distressed or ill turtle. Then they take you around their facilities and show you the different types of turtle they have and some of their patients and permenant residents, with information about their various afflictions and ailments. Its easy to see where your money is going and how important the work is. Overall, a great day out for kids and adults.
