Key West Lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters Museum

Enjoyed visiting lighthouse and museum. You can get a great view, but you must be able to climb narrow spiral staircase and not be too fearful of heights. I found it to be very much worth the price and the gift shop was very nice. The staff members were very helpful and extremely friendly.

When in Key West I always stop by the Lighthouse if only to go to the gift shop. They have so many unique items from local artists. I have gotten my favorite refrigerator magnets from here. This trip I purchased coasters! Very Fun!

Since we stayed next door to the Lighthouse Court Hotel, we decided to visit one afternoon. Visitors can climb the spiral staircase to the top of the lighthouse for great views of all of KW and adjacent waters/islands. It is a narrow climb especially for less-than-fit patrons and two-way traffic.

The Keeper's museum was very informative and air-conditioned.

I do not recall what the regular admission fee is, but it is free to military personnel and familes with IDs.

There is no elevator so one must climb the 88 steps to the top in a winding iron staircase. The view is fantastic at the top, so worth the effort. I loved the house showing how the lighthouse keeper lived. There are framed articles describing the various keepers and I was surprised to learn that some were women.

If you're visiting Key West then it's worth adding this to your todo list of things to see. The cost isn't crazy for a Key West attraction. The view is what makes this worth it.
