We went there around 10 am and were pleased to find a picnic table in the shade overlooking the beach and water. The water was calm that day, so we were able to enjoy snorkeling. The beach and ocen bottom are very rocky in most places, so I recommend water shoes for comfort. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent. The restrooms and snack bar are very convenient.

A stunning beach with a great café serving a wide variety of food and drinks, toilets, and gear hire. Perfect for snorkelling, head for the rocks to see the big fish as it can be a little murky elsewhere. Truly stunning.

While spending the day in Key West we took a break and went to the beach for a few hours. The view of the ocean is stunning. A lot of trees to relax under to stay cool or relax on the sandy beach. They have picnic tables available too. Wearing water shoes is a must!! A lot of coral rock as you walk to the ocean. They charge by the person to get into this park. I wish we had more time I would have liked to take in some of the historic sights-next time.

If you have bikes it is cheaper to get into the Park than by car. We went strictly for the beach. It is very rocky so you need to wear some sort of water shoes. We rented 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for $30. Be aware that there is no lifeguard and while we were there someone tried to swim out to a rock formation and almost drowned (and would have if a nearby snorkeler had not helped him). There are several picnic tables, a little cafe and restrooms near the beach. They also have a neat direction sign that you can get a great touristy pic at before you leave!

You can enter paying only 2$. The park is very big.
We loved the white beach and the green/blue and warm water...amazing! There is a very nice pic nic area and also a huge historical fort to visit.
It's absolutely a great relaxing place.
