The room was great. Spacious and homie. The furniture and decor are very nice, giving you a sense of home away from. The only thing missing in the room is a mirror large enough for you to see your entire self when getting dressed for a night out.

Room Tip: The only improvement the room could use is a mirror large enough to see ones entire self when getting dressed.

We are just back from a tour around Florida, and a 6 night stay at the beautiful resort.
If you want complete relaxation, wildlife, ocean and sunsets, this is your place!
We had number 2 bungalow, right sext to the ocean which was perfect. Apart from trips to Key Largo for a boat trip and of course a drive right down to Key West, we stayed in the resort the rest of the time, as it was so lovely. Lots of sun loungers in the sun and shade right next to the ocean and the gardens are stunning. There is also a great little pool.

Best thing for me was the wildlife, gekhos and iguanas that come and feed from you, friendly squirrels and we watched dolphins in the bay on two nights. We also went out each day on the free kayaks. Unfortunately couldn't find any manatees, but on the last day saw a very big nurse shark!

Every evening we took our places in the chairs on the bay, as we ate dinner and watched the breathtaking sunset, something I will remember always

We loved the Keys, and this stay was definitely my highlight of our trip to Florida. Not for you if you want smart hotels, bars and nightclubs, but if you want complete relaxation in a beautiful setting next to the ocean, sunshine every day and the best sunsets, would definitely recommend..

Room Tip: Number 2 (Dolphin) right next to the Ocean

We enjoyed staying at the Bay Harbor Lodge. The views of the bay and the sunsets are spectacular. Fresh scones in the morning are a nice touch. The cottage was small but very nice with all the comforts of home. The only drawback we had with the resort is the management of the kayaks, which is one of the reasons we chose this location. There were a lot of "rules" about using the kayaks that we found restrictive. You had to sign a waiver upon arrival, which is totally fine. But then you had to sign the paddles in and out and all of this had to be supervised by the person at the desk who is either busy and not there. We are early birds and like to get up and out early but had to wait until 8 am to take out a kayak. There was also a family reunion happening at the same time and they pretty much took over the beach area and gazebo playing games and being quite loud, which we found a little un-relaxing. Not the resorts fault nor the families as they were having a great time, but I wish we had known about the reunion before I booked. I probably would have gone elsewhere.
