This townhome was graciously rented to us on a Tuesday to Tuesday basis which is not standard in peak season. The location was stellar - 4 minute walk to the beach, very central to all the regular Anna Maria Island eateries that we frequent, easy to locate, covered parking and a lighted entry. It was very quiet considering it is so close to Manatee. It was nice having 2 bathrooms with 3 people. The kitchen was very well stocked although we did limited cooking. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas provided were very convenient for those of us who fly to our vacations. Able to walk to the Publix and CVS, so you could use the free island shuttle and do without a car here. There was a nice patio with furniture out back that we enjoyed. We did not use the TVs provided, but the WiFi was excellent!
The living room area was downstairs which would have been fine, but the couches (1 sofa bed style and 1 futon style) and sling style chairs were very uncomfortable - so we hung out around the small dining table off the kitchen and at the breakfast bar and that got old fast. Although the full bed was comfortable to lay on, it had no headboard so you could not sit up in bed to read or watch TV without the entire bed sliding away from the wall. The queen bed in the master bedroom had a memory foam top that was way too soft and my average weight husband and I did not sleep well as a result. Plenty of closet space and drawer space to spread out. All in all, we enjoyed our visit to AMI, just not as comfortable as expected.
