We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday, and the number Sharon gave us to open the "Master Lock" to get the unit key was wrong. She came over and met us to give us a key and introduce herself and answer any questions we had, which were very few. The unit was clean, both air conditioners worked well, and the kitchen looked well stocked, even if the appliances were rather smallish.
What we liked:
The master bed was one of the most comfortable non-home beds I have ever slept on. Not too firm, not soft, just right. Same goes for the water pressure in the shower. PERFECT!
The beach was one block away and it was not a long walk. The beach was wide, not crowded and beautiful with sea breezes all day.
The unit had an outdoor hose that made rinsing off from a beach especially nice!
Lots of restaurants and night life nearby and a few miles north.
Even though the unit looked old from the outside, the inside was clean and comfortable.
What we disliked:
The unit needs a complete "Guest Services" book, like they have in hotels. It was difficult to figure out the cable channels in the living room TV, and there was absolutely no guidance as to how to set up and use the TV in the Master Bedroom. Although the kitchen had plenty of cooking stuff, you had to open every door and drawer to find anything. These are minor problems that can be fixed with labels on the doors and drawers and a book, so the next renter does not have to call the owner all the time asking about "this and that"
Despite these minor things, we had a great stay, and I felt that we received good value for our money. I would recommend this unit for a couple only, even though it ways you can sleep 4.
