I'm from Toronto and frequent North Palm Beach often. I always make it a point to visit Wakodahatchee Wetlands.

A variety of wildlife for the photographer or the bird/reptile enthusiast .

A must see !!

I was in Florida on business and had a couple of hours spare time. This park was an excellent place to have a little hike and enjoy the nature, bird and other animals. You don't need too much time, if you don't have it. It is still totally worth it. Easy parking and easy walking.

Want to see birds and wildlife of the Everglades? But at a location in a city? Can do ... this place is located in the city near housing, shopping restaurants and more. Yet once you walk the boardwalk inside you're transformed into a world of Nature all around. Boardwalk is easy to traverse; and takes you all around waters, ponds, islands and more. You'll see all kinds of gorgeous birds. Look in the clear waters and you'll see a variety of fish, turtles and even an alligator sometimes. So peaceful yet alive with the very wildlife and Nature you'd see at the Everglades. Except it's a micro version located in a city. Please consider a visit. Enjoy!

This is a great place to feel you are in a natural Florida environment. We go there often for a relaxed walk on the boardwalk and the amazing views of a variety of native birds. Each season brings different bird behaviors. Catch birds building nests, feeding their young, or watch young birds learning to fly. There are also alligators, iguanas, rabbits, turtles and raccoons. This is a wonderful place to introduce out of state visitors to Florida. Thumbs up to Delray for creating the special place!

We visit every few months. Such a relaxing way to spend a few hours. You never know what you will see but there are always wonderful, colorful birds. Also alligators, turtles, iguanas, and fish.springtime is best when the wood storms are nesting.
