We ended up needing a hotel for an extra night when we were in Florida over the Christmas holiday. We had our puppy with us and ended up staying in the cabana room. Open up the door and you are outside. You don't have to go through the lobby like other hotels which is helpful when you're traveling with your dog. The pet fee was outrageous though especially since they charge the same for one night or one week. Dogs aren't allowed on the beach but there is plenty of grass for them outside and there is a walkway too. Planning to come here sometime in the future for a longer trip.

The holiday season is such an exciting time to travel and we’re glad you joined for Christmas, Mary! We love welcoming furry, four-legged travelers and it’s great that a Cabana suite was the perfect choice for enjoying your stay with your puppy. In order for us to welcome pets, we must comply with local health codes, which requires a special sanitation process after each pet’s departure; we’d like to clarify that this is why the pet deposit is charged per stay. We look forward to welcoming you both back to the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort.

The Hilton is a very nice place close to the pier. I wouldn't rate it a 5 star though. Balconys are non existant. You do have a balcony door to open but the balcony itself consists of about a foot then railing. The employees are super friendly and the location is great but if your looking for a balcony this is not the place.

Scott, thank you for letting us know about your stay at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. We know how important service and location are when it comes to a good travel experience, and we’re pleased to learn that we met your expectations when it came to these two aspects of your stays. We’d like to clarify that our guest rooms offer terraces, not balconies, but for our guests looking for more outdoor space, we recommend booking our Cabana suites, as they offer outdoor patio space, along with direct access outside. It would be a joy to have you back on your next visit to Daytona Beach.

Visited for spring break. Teen girls loved the hotel, pool and beach. Coffee shop was very good and Hyde Park Restaurant was amazing highly reccomend a steak my husband loved his said best steak ever. Room was very cleaned and relaxing we had an amazing view. Only glitch we had was key cards not working so had to keep getting new ones. Thank you for recommending the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, Darlene! Spring break is best spent with family on the beach and we’re glad you all enjoyed spending time poolside and on the beach. Our culinary team will be happy to hear that the best steak your husband ever had is here at Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse! We do apologize for any troubles with your key card; this isn’t an issue that occurs often. It would be a joy to have you all back over summer break.

If you are planning a short stay or have to come here for business, this hotel is fine. We came here as we were in Orlando and wanted to see the beach before heading home. This was closest beach.

The good: very good service from the front desk staff, and most supporting staff. Friendly and generally accommodating. Nice room view of the ocean.

The bad: hotel is a bit tired. Could use a sprucing up. Holes in curtains. Chips in furniture. More tattoos than I have seen in a while. I

The okay: beach is okay. Fun to see cars on the beach. A little bit seedy- in a Coney Island sort of way.

We had fun and mostly enjoyed our meal and happy hour at Hyde Park.

When visiting the Sunshine State, adding a stop at the beach is a must before heading home and we’re glad you add a stay at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort to your Orland visit. During your time with us, it’s wonderful to hear that you enjoyed dining at Hyde Park Prime Steakhouse and taking in our ocean views. We recently completed a $25 million renovation, but we will be certain to share your guest room findings with our maintenance department to ensure these areas are addressed. We hope you’ll join us again for more saltwater, sun, and sand, and really appreciate you sharing your experience with us.
