The volunteer was very friendly. She described the uses of the museum in the past. Nice antique artifacts and interesting information. The Museum is free to visit, you can leave a donation. They also have books and small items for sale. The Volunteer (forgot her name, so sorry) told us about a tapestry that had gotten damaged when the museum had been flooded, but they are getting it back this week, so we will be back another time to see it.

TIP-They close at three
The Good: It, Free; on the main strip, short visit, good history lesson on Crystal River

Wow, we stopped in on an impulse and we did not regret it. This little museum is wonderful and a must stop if you want to get a bit of history on Crystal River. Not to mention it's **FREE**. There are plenty of artifacts to spend time on and their informative plaques get straight to the point and provide just enough information.

If you rush through the museum it will take you 20/30 minutes but if you take your time and read all the information I'd say 1.5 hours. There are a total of three rooms.

Took about half hour. Small, but had some interesting facts about citrus county. Explained the early inhabitants, the industries, and had some excellent photos.

We enjoyed talking with the volunteer that was in charge and learned a lot about the area. They have done a wonderful job obtaining historical objects and in fact the building itself was interesting. Great place to start your vacation to get an idea of the area.
