“The property is perfect for relaxing and getting away from the hussle of day to day!”

We stayed ten nights at this property and had very little to complain about. The house and property are well maintained and clean which is very high on my list. Having kids with us, the pool and hot tub were perfect to keep them cooled off and busy. Fishing in the canal was poor compared to other locations we have stayed at but a poor week of fishing is better than a good week at work! Michele was very easy to work with but hard to reach at times during the booking process due to working short staffed is what we were told. We did not have to call her once we were set up because almost everything you need is there. The unknown cost is electric and propane for the grill (which was empty upon arrival and if you want to grill you have to go pay for propane). We were told up front but they could not give any estimate as to what the cost would be since they do not know what your usage will be. The allowance for electric will almost cover the basics of running the refrigerator and lights. It will not cover the air conditioner, which we kept the thermostat on 79 degrees and running the hot tub heater only enough to get it up to temp when we used it twice a day-morning and evening. If you use the electric as we did, expect a small fee of about $9-$10 dollars per day. Not bad, but this was the first rental I have had to pay extra for electric and it was more of a nuisance than an issue. Most general shopping needs (food, drink or Ice) are 15-20 mins away, which was not too bad. Restaurants are limited, close by, but can be found if you’re willing to drive a bit. The beaches are about 30 mins away (with traffic) to Fort Myers or Sanibel Island. Fort Myers is more for those looking for things to do while there like jet skis or parasailing or those wanting to eat/drink right on the beach. Sanibel Island is lush and more like a private beach. For us, the Villa Christina was a good choice and offered most of everything we were looking for. We do wish the intercom-Radio had speakers out at the pool to have music while out there. Also take a knife sharper, all the knives were very dull and I had to put an edge on the few I used just to cut raw meats. Please take all of this as information only, NOT COMPLAINTS! I would return and I would recommend it to others. We had a very good stay and loved the house! We left the house in great condition and very clean but we will have to wait up to 14 days to get the deposit back. If that occures nothing on this report will change from being very satisfied!!
