We just had dinner with the family at this excellent restaurant, being invited in by the warm welcome of the lady of the house.
We had the ability to take the aperitif on the terrace and then go inside for dinner.
The first dish that came onto the table was our daughters 'curry sausage with fries'. It immediately became clear this was no ordinary bistro: excellent home made sausage and the most delishes fries from sweet potaties (with apparently first a short tempura treatment, then fried in oil).
The other courses taken were on the same level of quality, cuissance and presentation. The wines, available by the glass were also outstanding in choice and quality. And this for a very, very reasonable price.
What a jewel in this beautiful village.
So if visiting the 'Maasland' on the Belgian side: take the journey to the other side of the border!
