My daughter and I went for a cuppy on Sunday afternoon and I had the best piece of Carrot Cake I've had for a very long time and my daughter had a vegan Apple and Cinnamon Scone which was fabulous. I managed to get a taste before she ate it all. Highly recomnend Glenesk Retreat for meal or coffee.
We also had a walk around the shop and they have a great variety of books and other various gifts and preserves.
Worth a visit.

On the way to Mount Keen I first stopped to ask directions to the car park, and on the way back stopped for a snack. Both times the service was very friendly and helpful. The venison sausage on a roll and latte were excellent, and the cake was very nice, and it was all very good value. I also had a quick look around the museum which was very interesting. Highly recommended a visit if you're passing

Follow the sign for Retreat Folk Museum, you will not be disappointed. Friendly staff, good food and history too.
The scenery around the folk museum is lovely as well. Local history. Nice place.
