Fabulous Hotel Stay

Had a one night stay here on our trip to SA, hotel was located in a good area by the waterfront with sea views, upon arrival the receptionist was fantastic! We had a lovely welcome and fabulous room with the best views from a hotel room. The restaurant and bar were great, and breakfast we were spoilt with options catering for everyone!

The hotel was in a wonderful location. The staff was very kind and courteous. Amenities were excellent. Breakfast had an amazing variety of danishes and meats. The bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel does not in any way live up to its name, and most definitely does not deserve its star rating at all . Believe all the poor reviews noted in the past +/- 2 years ; they are all still issues now . Premium price for a spectacularly bad stay.

Three night stay in November 2023 :
(1) Shabby and dated rooms in desperate need of refurbishment
(2) Cold water on two separate occasions
(3) Ordered room service and became violently ill 30 mins later
(4) Reported all the above to the manager (Calister) in morning who promised that he'd have feedback from his manager on fixes and to recompense . By 3pm that afternoon still no feedback. Eventually returned with feedback for a voucher at the restaurant and discount for a return visit! Just entirely unacceptable .
(5) Woke to dripping from ceiling on morning of departure.

Do not book to stay here if you're expecting kind thoughtful service or a high value experience. Would definitely not recommend at all.

Room tip: Avoid it .

From reception to breakfast the service was great. The staff were so polite and friendly. I arrived a bit early and the young man working at the reception went out of his way to find a room that was available.

The staff must always check the reservations and update every changes if there is changes, because i have noticed that they cant see our payment at Amani spa ,now i need to send again proof of payment because they could not find in their system

It started with no meet and greet on arrival. Carried in our own luggage and were told the air-conditioning system does not work in the hotel. Could not initially find our booking despite booking online. Albeit The Manager offered me an alternative room where wind would blow into the room to provide some relief in the absence of the air-conditioning. It was very disappointing that we were not notified prior to booking and arrival that there was no airconditioning in the hotel.
