Hidden under fig trees is the entrance to this cave. We went there in August and enjoyed the cold draft coming from inside the mountain through the small opening, as unfortunately the entrance was locked and noone there to open it for us. Definitely before you drive there, try to find out opening hours. So we did not know that it was locked and had to leave again without the chance walking in.

About 40 minute drive from Catalkoy going past Acapulco Hotel. Turn right at main T junction heading away from Karpaz but towards Gecitkale. Well sinposted as you approach. A man in attendance who unlocked the cave for us and sat at the entrance whilst we were left to exore. Not massive compared to UK standards, but very impressive nontheless. Four of us cost TL 20. (about £4.50)
We went on a Thursday as it is closed on Wednesdays.
Well worth the trip and a cool change from the heat of the beach!

Visiting my uncle who had moved to North Cyrpus, I discovered these caves when searching for places to visit - he didn't know of them either despite being there for over 3 years already!!

A little bit of an off track road to get to the nearest village and back again to main roads, but well worth it! Incredibly cheap admission fee and you are left to explore yourself - fantastic formations underground!
