If you want to see the amphitheater, check to see if there is a concert that day. If there is, the amphitheater will be closed early in the day. Worth it just to even drive through the park-it’s amazing.

Red Rocks is an amazing concert venue! Outdoors, snuggled between the perfect huge rocks for beauty and accoustics. But be prepared before you go! Read the info on their web site!! Expect a long, uphill walk from the parking lot to the ampitheatre. It's outside, so it could start hot, get windy, rain, and/or get cold. If you are prepared, the weather issues won't bean issue! Bring a closed bottle of water or two, as lines to purchase them can be long. And you will be thirsty, it's Colorado! Dry air and the hike from the parking lot means drinks are needed. Traffic on 470 enroute can be a nightmare (not Red Rocks fault), so try to come early and tailgate or go in early to enjoy the rocks and get some pictures.

One of the best music experiences in such a unique setting. The atmosphere is electric from start to finish as everybody feels the same buzz from being in Red Rocks. I'd go just for the views regardless of who's performing.

I took the star off because of food/drink prices. They are pretty steep. As are the steps!!!

Red Rocks isn't just an amazing amphitheater, it's a great place to have lunch, learn about the many bands and guests that have played there and their history, and explore/hike the trails for even more beautiful views. I haven't had the opportunity to see a band in concert here, but we did get to hear a little warm-up preview going on during our brief time there, and the acoustics were incredible. I can only imagine what a full-on concert would sound like!

What a beautiful location for lunch. The food at the cafe paled in comparison but certainly was ok. The The waitress was very helpful with advice and knew the perfect spot from which to take our photo. Parking is limited. If you go when they have shows in the amphitheater be prepared for a steep hike from a secondary parking lot.
