“"Middle of nowhere"”
Reviewed 2 December 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Beautiful cosy cottage in the middle of nowhere,we used it as a base to visit the christmas markets at Harrogate and York and it was perfect. The weather was'nt at its kindness for us but that did not take away the position of this well equipped and secluded cottage. If you are looking for somewhere which gives you peace and quite with amazing views this is the place. Thanks Dawn.

“Perfect in every way”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Stayed for 6 days and we could not have been happier. The location is beautiful and the cottage stunning, equipped with every comfort to make this a real home from home. Thank you to our lovely hosts for making this a fantastic break in the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

“A remarkable Find!!!”
Reviewed 8 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

With much good luck did I find Timble,
A Yorkshire village would fit a thimble
And there I spent the best of weeks
Thanks due to Dawn and Barry Meeks

The Courtyard Cottage with all its charm
A roaring fire will keep you warm
Tho’ I have travelled for many a mile
Be hard to beat this place for style

Go there in Spring to find these thrills
Cuddly wee lambs and daffodils
The Yorkshire dales, such glorious views
A better place you could not choose

Perhaps the thing that I liked most
The friendly manner of my host
They quickly put me at my ease
And did so much for me to please

So with these words I recommend
For I was sad when week did end
You need a great week and get away?
Surely this must be the spot to stay

“Superb hideaway in the Dales”
Reviewed 12 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

My friend and I booked a week in the Old Dairy Cottage and it definitely exceeded our high expectations.
The cottage itself is in beautiful surroundings and the local town Otley is handily located for essentials. It was as rural as we had hoped for so that the only sounds that we could hear were the winds across the Dales and the cracking of the woodburning stove.
The cottage is tastefully decorated and we appreciated the Sky box for when the October/November weather kicked in.
Would definitely recommend especially for the warm and friendly owners Dawn and Barry who were efficient and helpful. The catering in the cottage is highly recommended as the food was marvellous and reasonably priced.
We found the cottage perfectly located for Harrogate and York day trips (use the park and ride for the latter) and hope to return another time.

“Beautiful Cottage in a Beautiful Location”
Reviewed 16 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We stayed in the Old Dairy Cottage for one week in September. The owners, Dawn and Barry live next door to the property which is very helpful should any problems arise, not that any did! They are a very welcoming couple whom you feel at ease with as soon as you arrive.

The cottage is close to the towns of Harrogate, Otley, Ilkley, Ripon and Skipton. Also, York is only an hour away so it is ideally situated for exploring what these towns have to offer. The surrounding countryside is breathtakingly stunning with views that rival many of the places that we have visited in other parts of the UK and Europe.

The cottage itself is well kitted out and has all that you require for your stay and is immaculately clean. Our only criticism is that the kitchen area is short of workspace but there is a Butchers trolley to help alleviate the problem.

We will have no hesitation in recommending the Old Dairy Cottage to friends and family.
