Of the world's trappist breweries, I believe this is the only one that can be visited daily for an excursion. The excursion goes through the monastery, and along the way one learns about the brewing process, about the criteria for trappist beers, and about the history of trappists. One gets to see the kettles and the bottlery. Also the old bakery and the garden are shown, as well as the old firetruck. The cheesemaking was explained from outside the building. At the end of the tour everyone can choose one of the beers (or taste a few different beers) while watching a movie that explains the history of trappist beers again. Afterwards one can have more drinks in the cafe, or buy the monastery's products in the shop.
