The Hotel was wonderful. Very clean and the staff was wonderful! The location is good. It's about a 7min walk to the downtown area where there is lots of shopping and restaurants. I would stay there again.

Paul the concierge was extraordinary--helpful, funny, brilliant, knowledgeable, a rare combination of efficiency and warmth like no other. From the first moment we walked in until the moment we walked out we were respected and esteemed, and felt comfortable and welcomed.

Room Tip: We asked for Museum view and got it along with an unexpected view of Rocky Mountains also--a real plus!

Arrived 2:45 pm and chose the option of a metered street parking spot on on 12th Ave. situated approx. 100 ft from the hotel entrance. Meter is $1/hr until 6 pm and then free untill 8 am. Hotel valet parking is $40/night.

Hotel entrance is via the "porte cochere" (new vocab. addition for me and its means "covered entrance including a driveway"). The port's ceiling consists of a 22,000 LED bulb computer-controlled ever-changing abstract pattern light display. So begins the ART.

Then entry is into the glass-enclosed ground level vale/bell station and preliminary ground floor lobby space. This area, like the entire hotel above it, is predominantly an art gallery displaying an agglomeration of fascinating works including here Frank Gehry's "Fish Lamp" (1984). The fish turns up again as the shape of the the ART's bath soap bars.

For the ride up to check-in on the 4th floor, the back wall of the you-can't-tell-they're-moving elevators display art works in video form on LG flat panel screens.

Rather than the commonplace friendly-but-mundane "check-in", I'll need new terminology to justly depict our initiation/orientation to the Art provided by Paul: a sincere, engaging, informative, enjoyable, unprecedented, extended conversation of a galactic-class welcome. Not only to the hotel, but actually more so, to several nearby "you'd-never-know-they're-there-type" Denver places of interest that Paul accurately sensed in the course of our conversation would be right up our alley. He also very thoughtfully drew my wife and son in too as our conversation continued. Paul is extraordinary.

So we then stopped in our room just long enough to enjoy some complimentary soft drinks and Art hotel boxed snacks, check out the great view over and through Denver to the Rockies, and brew an espresso with the combo coffee/espresso brewer there.

On the way out to take a bike ride ( the hotel has 2 artfully painted bikes to use and there is a Denver B-Cycle bike sharing pick-up station one block away -Paul's idea- for our third rider), we looked into the glass-walled 4th-floor Fire Restaurant. The restaurant is an absolute architectural and design gem and contains several fantastic art works. We made a quick stop for some very good "social' hour" fare, including a crab cake slider, and grabbed some pieces from the nice selection of complimentary hard candies for the ride.

Next, on the way to the elevator again, I happened to pause to look at the large Vance Kirkland dot painting, "Enigma of Magnetic Forces' (1976), on the wall behind the reception desk. Greg, who was on-duty there, stepped out to provide a friendly and interesting mini-seminar about the artist, his techniques, and let me know about the Kirkland Art Museum just a few blocks from the Art. In addition, Greg walked me around to and provided nice background info. and context for 3 or 4 other works nearby. Where else can/does this happen?

So that was our first hour, or so, at the Art. I highly recommend you take it from there.

I was greeted warmly as I arrived. Check in was very professional, friendly and warm. I was surprised how beautiful the room was as well as very spacious. The bathroom was amazing. Water and snacks were provided as part of the room which was a very nice touch. And the amenities were top of the line. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. Overall a great experience. I would definitely stay again.

Had a nice two night stay at the ART. Nicely appointed room and well decorated. Very much enjoyed the Illy espresso pod machine. The only negative is that the decor is a bit cold, without much fabric - so it is a bit echo-y. The onsite restaurant was very good. Also seems to be a fair amount of restaurant choices nearby.
