This is a typical tourist street, mostly pedestrian, but a free shuttle runs the length of it. This shuttle is actually a great way to travel between Union Station and the Civic Center. The street itself is full of shops and restaurants, many of which are chains and not local. But there are some gems if you look hard.

Lots of people. Lots of activity. Shops of every description. Lovely place for morning coffee. Always something going on. Homeless people were common but not a nuisance or a threat. Mall ride is convenient.

We are in town for a convention. We got out and walked around the first night, saw a bunch of people getting on the “free mall ride” bus and followed suit. We found a great bar, excellent bookstore, and we spotted other places we knew we had to hit. It is a long street, with lots of restaurants and bars and shops. It goes past Larimer Square, and the side streets feeding off 16th often have some cool things as well.

The mall is easily walkable and a real bonus is the continuously running busses that are free. The shopping is ok, but not lots of variety. Reasonable food options. I agree, with another reviewer, no toilets in sight and this is a basic human need.
There is a Target store going into the area, but not opening until later in July. Missing a food shopping option-would be great to have something besides 7eleven and Walgreens, no real fresh food options apart from one cafe. A small Trader Joes or Whole Foods would be wonderful.
Close to the convention centre and many hotels.

My only complaint is that it's nearly impossible to find a bathroom to use and with a newly potty trained toddler - that was incredibly stressful! I asked a TJ Maxx employee to use the restroom and the only option she offered was for my 3 year old son to use the restroom alone. No ma'am. Too bad because we had a full cart and had to leave it to find a bathroom. I understand the necessity of rules but a little grace and understanding isn't an unreasonable expectation.
