Colorado Springs is spoiled with an embarrassing wealth of natural riches, and this 750 acre park right in the middle of the city is chief among them. Over 20 miles of exciting trails, all easily accessible from anywhere in town. Some of these trails are famous far and wide for providing very challenging mountain biking in particular.

Palmer Park is located right on Academy Blvd, one of the major thoroughfares in Colorado Springs. It has a large playground for children and lots of room to hike. The park is large enough for a good workout but small enough that you can't get lost. There is only one road through the park and it is a short, but challenging bike ride. There are numerous places to pull off the road and find a spot to picnic. At the top of the bluff is a nice view of the mountains.

Great place, in a central location in town, to take a quick hike or mountain biking trip. The trails are well-maintained and there are many different levels of exertion required depending on which trail you choose.

This is a fantastic park that is family and animal oriented. You can park in the parking lot and walk the trails, it has a dog run and playground equipment for children. The view from the top of the trails is spectacular. You will occasionally run into deer who love to sleep here during the day time. One of the best family parks for any size family.

Many biking and Hiking trails for all levels. This park is in the middle of the city and ( I think ) it is one of the largest in the city .
If you have time and love hiking and biking but do not have to travel too far , this is the place for you.
