I have been to the training center a few times because my kids compete in two sports. I never took a tour until this year and it was great.

Great tour that gives a view of how tough our athletes train and some of the technology behind the scenes. Saw a bit of a paralympian basketball scrimmage with Australia. Our tour guide was friendly and there were lots of photo ops. Enjoyed the family photo with medals and the '96 torch. It was a little pricey for our family of six but it supports a great cause so I didn't care. And yes, there were some athletes around doing workouts...but we visited during a quiet time. We just took the basic tour...not the VIP.

I wasn't sure what to expect when we went to the U.S. Olympic Training Center, but the behind-the-scenes tour we went on was interesting and generally worthwhile. There is a visitor's center and gift shop (of course!) that are open and free to anyone who stops by. The tour is an additional $15. Our group was HUGE! There had to have been about 50 to 60 people at least, which made it pretty overwhelming to go from place to place. Plus, our tour guide was nice but not particularly informative. She provided few details beyond saying "this is the aquatics center" (obvious, due to the swimming pool). She also talked about how the facilities are always packed with athletes training for their sports, yet not one of the places we visited had any athletes in it. My family enjoyed the tour overall, but we would have enjoyed it more had it been a little more intimate and in-depth.

I took the regular tour (senior only $13). And, for the tour fee you get a free 4” x 6” glossy photo of you festooned with Olympic medals ala Mark Spitz. Or a group photo for each of you as Team USA.

We had a remarkable tour leader brimming with information. A few athletes were working out in different areas.

Did you know that shooters learn to pull the trigger between heartbeats? There’s plenty of fascinating facts coming at you. You may even see a ripped 10 year old gymnast going through his or her paces on the mat: elite athletes of all ages come here for training camps.

Plenty of free parking. Handicapped accessible. Firearms are not allowed past the security guard at the gate in case you’re packing more than just ripped abs.

Great tour of the facilities. Good info from our tour guide. Highly recommend.

Got to see the pool, weight training room, and other workout areas. Interesting to hear about the athletes in residence.
