What's better than an 8 person hot tub? An 8 person hot tub with a mountain view, of course. Just in case the heat of competition isn't enough to keep you warm, there's a stone fireplace downstairs.

“MAGNIFICENT Must See & Stay Mont Vista Chateaux”
Reviewed 1 January 2018 for a stay in December 2017

We rented this Mont Vista Chateaux the end of December 2017 for Christmas and my dad's 80th birthday celebration. We had 24 of us and everyone had a bed. The place is well-stocked with 6 air mattresses which we used on top of the 2 sleeper sofas for added comfort as the sleeper sofa mattresses were not comfortable. There are 8 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms. The hot tub and pool table were huge hits for all the kids every night after skiing. The location is just a short distance from the town of Breckenridge and in nice weather walkable. The chateaux is a good block from the purple bus stop which comes every 15 or so minutes which saves you the hassle and cost of parking which is $7-12/day depending on numbers. The kitchen is well-stocked and the pantry is priceless in terms of holding all the food and coolers. The kitchen is also state of the art with Wolf stove and oven and 2 dishwashers and many appliances. The microwave needs help as it is ill-fitted in the space and sits on top of wooden boards and constantly was falling off the boards when you would open the door. There is a great laundry room off of the mudroom with a full size washer and dryer which was priceless. The apartment over the garage easily sleeps 4 with the king size bed and pull out sofa. Again, the air mattresses were needed on top of the pull out sofa mattress as it was not comfortable. It also has a nice smaller gourmet kitchen. The garage holds 2 cars and the driveway can accommodate another 2-3 cars if strategically parked. The driveway is a BEAR though! 4 wheel drive is a MUST in the winter because the snow plow operated by the City of Breckenridge does not come for 24 hours after a minimum of 4-6" of snow. The house is set below the grade of the road and it is a steep grade requiring you to back down the driveway in the winter time in order to get up if the driveway has snow on it. In the summer it would not be near the issue in terms of steep grade. There are 2 good size bedrooms in the basement; one with king and the second bedroom with 2 full size beds. The main master was perfect for the grandparents! The other main floor bedroom was perfect for 4 kids with the bunk and full size bed as it does not have it's own bath or closet but quick access to a powder bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms consist of a king bedroom and two other full size/queen bedrooms with a jack & jill bathroom. The closets are all nicely sized walk-ins which were great for accommodating ski duffles and suitcases. Negatives: The mattresses in this high-end home however need to be upgraded as they are getting saggy from rental wear. The microwave needs replacing as it is ill-fitted in the slot. The dining table only holds 10 at a time which is not ideal for a house that sleeps 24! Another farm table would be ideal as we had to eat in shifts but not sure where you would put it as the great room is not that expansive for the size of the home. Being in Colorado where recycling is an imperative, there are not recycling bins in the garage and you are left on your own to haul out recycling to a recycling center if you wish to preserve the environment! Recycling bins and service should be a part of this rental fee as we actually had way more recycling than garbage during our stay. Overall, the home is fantastic and we loved being all under one roof for Christmas and 80th birthday celebration! The Invited Home App is a great way to communicate and they were quick to respond. We would recommend this home to any large group or family as it was the perfect retreat! The only thing missing was our golden retriever as it is not pet-friendly! ;o(

“Perfect house for friends/couples getaway”

Rented the house for a guys ski trip--12 of us total and each had their own bed (if not their own room) without having to double up or sleep on couches. House was immaculate and well-stocked with all cookware/dishes needed. Both the grill and the hot tub were clean and worked great, and backyard and decks were secluded with great views of the mountain. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Advice:
--even with moderate snow, car with 4-wheel drive a MUST for home's driveway
--shuttle service to mountain at end of the block, a bit of a walk with skis/gear, but doable
--sound system in the house a bit antiquated (old iPhone port, and no AUX input) so would recommend bringing own portable speaker
