“Absolutely Adorable”

As we reviewed cabins in the Tahoma area for our 3 night stay to attend a wedding, most of them appeared older and dark. Then, we stumbled across the photos and description of this place. It appeared newly renovated, light, and bright, so we decided to give it a try. We were delighted with our choice! All of the amenities were top quality, and it felt comfortable and "homey." I enjoy cooking, and I easily found everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens all appeared to be new. All of the arrangements with the rental company went smoothly. We found the place to be exactly as shown in the photos. It was ideal for the two of us, but I think it would be a bit cramped for 4. The bathroom is very small.

A couple of suggestions for the owner: There are no knobs on the kitchen cabinets, making them harder to open. There will be a lot of wear and tear on them without knobs or handles. Also, the lock on the front door NEEDS to be replaced! It is so temperamental that locking and unlocking the door becomes a major, time-consuming ordeal for the renter. We conquered the challenge, but others might give up and leave the place unlocked. The reception on the new flat screen TV in the bedroom was very poor. It appeared to be a transmission problem, which seemed strange since the reception on the living room TV was fine.

If anyone else stays here to attend a wedding or other event at Sugar Pine Point State Park, don't use the Apple map on your iOS device! It will take you down 6th St. and dead end you there at the park boundary without an entrance. Instead, trust Google Map which correctly directs you back to Rt. 89, then south to the park.

All in all, we were delighted with this cabin and would definitely stay here again if we returned to the Lake Tahoe area.
