Beautiful Tahoe

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 16 Jun 2021via mobile
This resort is in Tahoe Vista which is not a really busy area. Resort was nice and Lake Tahoe is gorgeous, but if you are planning a summer vacation, go in July or August! We stayed in the forest side cabins. It was so cold and windy most of our trip we did not get to use the kayaks, etc. Our last day I sat in the hot tub and they had a duo singing and playing music on the beach! Resort is within driving distance of some good restaurants, shops, bike rentals, and Virginia City, which was a cool place to visit.

They take good care of their guests. Views are gorgeous. Many activities all through the day for adults and kids. Visited two times and will come back again. Rooms can get some upgrades but we don’t mind as we loved the lake front room with private deck.

This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe. We stayed on the north side the first three days. Matt was helpful at check in. We unexpectedly had to make a minor car repair and Sandy was very helpful. He said "this is a family place, we help each other." We loved the sand and the chairs on the patio. We will recommend to our friends.

This was my family’s 2nd time staying here and it was great. The rooms are spacious and right next to the beautiful Lake Tahoe. It really couldn’t get any more beautiful sitting out there! Then when we had car issues they let us stay a little longer in our room after checkout while we waited for our car. Very nice all around.

This resort is great as it is a beachfront property, has it's own private beach, which works great with kids. The facilities are cool. They have a ping pong table at the beach. Fire pits, lots of beach lounge chairs, barbecues. The rooms have diagonal windows to get a view of the lake at all times.
Our room was cozy, comfortable with clean kitchen and all the pots and pans and accessories. The gas oven was great!
It's located right next door to a lot of good restaurants, grocery stores, so having a kitchen was a plus.
The property management keeps contact via text messages, which I thought was great in the covid times, and they also had hand sanitizers kept in almost every area of the property.

Cool place to relax and enjoy 🙂

Great place, will recommend!!
Keep up the good with guys!!!

I happened upon the Mourelatos as I was looking for a last minute getaway to Tahoe for the family. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived, at the proximity of the Hotel to so many quaint local spots! Nevertheless, I was so impressed by the room! Arriving at the end of winter it was so pleasant to open the door and have the fireplace cracking upon arrival. It truly was refreshing!!! My family and I were so happy with the size of the room, it was really like a mini loft, the spacing in the room when the pull out couch was out was still enough to walk around. The kitchen was perfect with all the appliances that we would need. We were able to cook two pizzas in the oven at once. I was also pleased that there were pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. The service at the Mourelatos was great they are a small staff but have a fantastic service and text system to attend to your needs. Having arrived at night one of the biggest surprises in the morning was seeing the view of Lake Tahoe!!!! It was breathtaking!!
We will definitely visit the Mourelatos again! It is our new family favorite, a jewel in the Tahoe region!!
