We're newer owners... We bought last Summer after PROMISING ourselves we wouldn't ;). Nick was so knowledgeable and kind. The whole experience was super low pressure, but in the end it was a deal we couldn't refuse, considering the travel club and biannual membership. For us, the value is in the day use. Super low stress family time with free parking and a private beach. We can come up knowing we don't even have to worry about towels. It's the one place we always agree on and can rely on having a great time. Before this, most of our Tahoe days would start early and the kids were over it, but we stayed because everything surrounding the visit was so expensive.
They're in the midst of renovating a bunch of the suites, but for our family it's just what we need. We appreciate the work in progress. However, we don't care, we only care about the serene Tahoe experience. This is not only a reasonable time share, but also travel club that allows us to do MORE traveling. It provides a space to breathe and get away. There is no place in the world like Tahoe. Now we own an iddy biddy little piece and we get to enjoy it as much as we want.
I also need to address the property itself. The moment I saw it it reminded me of the movie dirty dancing. My husband thought I was ridiculous. However, with giant lawn, bocce ball, small basketball court, etc it just gives that 1950s vibe.
To make a long story short, we love it here. And I was super bummed to read some of the other posts ... But not really, because then it stays our little special space. For people that get it.
