“Very good lunch, a bit out of the way and poorly marketed, but worth going.”

We found this place almost by accident -- there was one small sign in the alley entrance and a large sign for a pub. We stopped for lunch and had a good one. We each had a dal appetizer -- good flavor if a bit liquidy (not many beans), with delicious naan. We also shared our favorite Himalayan food, veggie momos (dumpling with a tangy sauce) that were quite good.

Good place to eat. Food is always delicious.
Good prices compared to most restaurants around the Plaza,
Locals eat here and take home.

I love Indian, Pakistani, Nepalese Foods...so was excited when looking at the menu. We ordered the daal soup, naan, basmati rice, steamed dumplings, cauliflower aloo and chicken tikka. The daal was tasty but the next morning we both had stomach aches. The chicken didn’t look baked but oily, it should have been baked. The dumplings were very glutinous and chewy. It may have been their interpretation, but I am used to a lighter dough. The rice was over cooked and cauliflower and potato curry tasted mostly of chili rather then tasting spicy.

My wife and I were in the mood for Nepalese food and discovered the Taste of the Himalayas off the town square. The setting was informal, but very comfortable outside. Service was prompt and attentive and the food was well cooked. The menu offered a wide variety of selections. and beverages, including wines and beers were available.
