On a recent trip to Santa Barbara to visit grandkids we decided to play this course, Checked GolfNow for pricing and it showed $35 for 18 holes. Reasonable to me. Get there, get charged $34 for 9 holes. The golf course is in OK condition but the rough was 6in high in places making for slow play. I personally will never play here again. Why the city of Santa Barbara would want to change visitors extra is beyond me. Sure doesn't make me want to come visit. Check out the other coursers in the area for a better round and a better price

Wow, what a great track. The layout is very good with some interesting elevation changes. Condition of this course in Aug 2015 is superb considering the current drought. Fairways are fully grassed and every lie is spot on. Greens are excellent. Mostly Poa I think but 13 and 14 are Bermuda. All receptive and run true. It's in great nick. Exceptional value for money and way better in every respect than Sandpiper which we played two days ago. At just over 1/3 the price of Sandpiper it's a steal. Very recommended.

On a beautiful sunny day, there is nothing like a round of golf at the Santa Barbara Golf Club. While visiting my daughter, my son and I spent the early morning at the golf club. The course itself is challenging but not a back breaker. If you like a short course, this is not the one to play. The course was well maintained and the front office was friendly and helpful.

This course is in really good shape for a "municipal" venue, even during Santa Barbara's drought (at the time of this writing). Great prices, too. It generally attracts less-than-scratch golfers, so sometimes the pace of play is a bit slow (thus the four stars), but the roving marshals help push 'em along. Attached restaurant ("Mulligan's") is a GREAT place for meals (and/or Hole #19 relaxing)!

Nice place to golf, although right now due to drought, the fairways are quite dry. You can rent clubs for a reasonable price, and they were in great shape. Nice restaurant on premisies. Interesting Sunday buffett...a mix of waffles with a mexican flair!
