Took our Aussie to this beach a couple of days while we stayed in Santa Barbara, and I think it's the happiest I've ever seen her! We came at non-peak times (noon on a Tuesday, 9am on a Thursday), and parking wasn't bad either day. Parking is also FREE, which is awesome!!

The off-leash beach area was fantastic... clean, and not crowded.

The other dog owners seemed a little standoffish, which we're not used to... maybe that's a Central Coast thing. But, all of the dogs were friendly!

Definitely the highlight of our trip!

Locals hidden hangout, dog & surfer friendly. Downtown yet off the beaten track. Locals call it Hendrey's (Henry's) Beach.Great waves plus a lovely beachside restaurant where you can get a drink inside and watch the kids playing outside on the sand.

The off leash section is a must do for you and your dog. We and our dog loved it and will return soon.

My Golden Retriever had a blast playing with dozens of free range friends on this dramatic cliff-lined beach.

We went here twice: once on a Sunday and once during the day on Monday. The difference in the number of people and even the atmosphere was like night and day. If I'd only gone on Sunday, the review would be 4/5 but because we went on Monday and almost the beach to ourselves, I have to give this 5/5. Just a gorgeous place to be.
