Stopped by for some wine tasting and to enjoy a great afternoon sipping and snacking with an amazing view.

Enjoyed our tasting experience at the Hearst Ranch. The site is awesome and the wines great. Our favorites were the Three Sisters Cuvee White 2020, the Glacier Ridge 2020 Chardonnay and especially the Babicora 2018 Malbec. Well worth the short side trip off Highway 1.

The tasting room is located just off Highway 1 in the historic Sebastian store. We chose outdoor tasting on a beautiful sunny day. Our server was very helpful and suggested we have eight different wines for the two tastings instead of the same selections. So we shared each glass. The pours were generous and we found several wines that we especially liked. The $25.00 a person tasting fee was offset by our purchases. Salads, sandwiches , Hearst ranch beef and salami and cheese snacks are for sale in the store. The gift shop has a very nice assortment of good quality merchandise. The tasting room and gift shop are open daily from 11 am to 5 pm. There is parking adjacent.

Great location for the Hearst Winery, on the ocean and directly across from Hearst Castle. Great ambiance and outside seething. The downside is that we did not like the wine. It was very bland. We’re we’re very disappointed. Also was $25 for 5 little tiny tastes. Won’t go back except to just look around in the great little store they had on the property.

Thank you for giving our wines a try. We are glad to enjoyed our tasting room location and our store. We look forward to seeing you again as we get new items in the store often. I am happy to suggest other wineries in the area that might be a better match to your palate and price. Thank you for your visit and feedback. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Cheers. Terri
