we stayed at the hyatt house for 3 nights and were assigned a corner studio room. was somewhat dissapointed with the view (overlooks the CVS car park) and the blackout curtains didn't really work well, so every morning you would have light streaming in. We were on a couples vacation, and not exactly the most romantic hotel you could stay in. more suitable for business hotel where you just need place to crash at night. don't get me wrong, it is a new, clean and spacious room, with everything you need includingthe kitchen sink (pun intended). but if you're looking for a romantic hotel this ain't it. But we did find the service very good, and we had a car, so we drove to where we needed to go. the hotel is located opposite a row of take out / fast food restauants, there is a CVS, coffee bean, panda express, hair salon etc. but other than that, the hotel seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. also the pool onsite was extremely small, more like a kids pool.

This was a family trip with my husband and 14 month old twins. We wanted to take a weekend trip to the beach, but hotel prices near the beach were just out of our budget. So we decided to stay in San Jose and with the help of TripAdvisor we found the Hyatt House. We were so pleasantly surprised we wish we had a reason to go back!!
We stayed in a standard king room. But it was like a small studio apartment with a very comfortable king bed. There is a dresser with a flat screen t.v. that swivals 180 degrees. Swival the t.v. around to your "mini" living room that is furnished with a sofa and chair. But the real bonus was the mini kitchen!! A sink, stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator & freezer. Not to mention plates, cups & utensils.
On top of everything the hotel/room was very clean and smelled nice. The staff was very friendly.
There is a free hot/cold breakfast in the morning: eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, pancakes, grits, made to order omleats, cereal and yogurt.
This was a great stay for a great price! We will for sure be back!!

My mom, 2 daughters and I stayed at the Hyatt House for 6 days. The set up is really great for a family--we were in a 2 bedroom King which included 2 king beds and a pull out sofa. There was a fully equipped kitchenette as well. The hotel is fairly new, so it was in pretty good condition. The lobby and common areas were kept clean as far as I can tell. They offer a decent breakfast buffet each morning with an omelet bar.

The pool is small but nice and was not at all crowded during our stay. I do wish it were heated, but we had warmer weather for most of our stay, so it wasn't too bad. The location of the hotel is very convenient with a Target, Panera, Chic Fil-A and several other grocery and eatery options in walking distance.

We did have a housekeeping issue one day--they did not clean the room after I requested it--but the hotel manager apologized and gave a complimentary basket of goodies to make up for it.

Overall it was a nice stay, and I would definitely return.

My wife and I stayed to attend a family wedding. The room was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a small kitchen but we chose to eat at a near by restaurant. There are several restaurants that are within walking distance of the hotel. It is located in a shopping center. And if you need medicine or any first aid there is a CVS store in same shopping center as the hotel. We would stay again when are in San Jose again. Levy stadium is a short drive from the hotel.

Room Tip: We booked our hotel room in a month advance and got a great deal versus booking close to the travel date where the price had doubled. Levy stadium is a short drive from the hotel

This was one of the host hotels so was quite busy. The event included a junior national event so there were a lot of energetic kids running around. The hotel wasn't overly loud given that fact. If you are willing to walk several blocks there are a number of places to eat and drink, including a micro-brewery.

Room Tip: Great a room overlooking the highway, pool, and Art Center if you are there for the Fourth Of July. The Fireworks were outstanding.
