Needed to get away from the stress of LA and the lockdown. With an unseasonably warm winter holiday weekend coming, we looked to Palm Springs. Found The Saguaro from an ad that popped up when looking for a Palm Springs hotel. We usually stay at big and often fancy resorts, but we were looking for something smaller this time. The hotel looked 50's quirky, colorful and happy. So we booked. It's not fancy - somewhere between a high quality motel and resort. Not luxury, but it was nice, clean and everything was working. The design was just like the pictures and delivered a fun, happy experience. Every room has a deck, which we used often. We had a king suite, so it had a little room with a table to eat all of the take out we got since all the restaurants in California have no on-site dining. Pool was great. They are limiting capacity for now so it was very relaxing. But I can imagine it would be a really big and fun pool party when things get back to normal, which wouldn't be bad, just different from what it is now. The service is very good and everyone who works there - even those who are contractors like the security - are all very very pleasant and helpful.
