The only prepared food stop in the area. Typical 1950's burger emporium. Great setting and great service from locals. A hangout for the area. An oasis amidst the results of the Thomas Fire. Grocery, gas, general store and burgers-all from very friendly dedicated locals in a truely unique piece of rural California.

Kind of out the way on a lovely, semi-rural highway I've rarely had a need to travel, I never knew this place existed until I happened to recently rent a vacation rental in the area for a quick getaway. I ordered the spicy burger, which is only moderately spicy, it was generous, perfectly done and just wonderful. Prices for the burgers meet or beat so-called "premium" burgers that fast food chains offer, yet there is no comparison. The young lady that took my order was super friendly.

Our Model A Ford Club stopped here today with over 20 people, and this tiny place wasn't overwhelmed with our large group. They turned out juicy, flavorful burgers and BLT's at a reasonable price with a smile. They offer a custom "Build Your Burger" menu that affords an almost infinite combination of meat/toppings/bun so you can really have it your way. For a perfect stop between Santa Paula and Ojai, The Summit fills the bill. We'll definitely be coming back.

The Summit is a small outdoor....with indoor facilities...that has a great menu at fair prices. $6.95 for a cheese burger, med drink and fries.....and the burger was cooked the way I requested. Sit outside on a lovely day and you don't want to leave!!!

I've been going to the Summit since it was Fay's Place, but the food is the best it's ever been. From their handmade hamburgers to seasonal shakes, Karen and Dan run a great restaurant.
