This hotel has a number of things going for it that makes it a compelling choice if you’re looking to stay in Napa. First, the rooms are nice and everything is still pretty spanking new. The bed, the towels and the toiletries are of high quality which we appreciated. The staff is also very friendly starting with the valet to the front desk.

Second, the lobby is a great place to hang out as they’ve got a good set up where people can have drinks, sit comfortably in many sofas and chairs and this is no doubt one of the hot spots in town in the evening. We heard there’s a rooftop bar with a wading pool coming in the future.

Lastly, the Charlie Palmer restaurant attached to the hotel serves pretty good food. We didn’t have the steak but did sample four appetizers and we were impressed. Service could probably be a tad stronger but they may still be working it through as it is still under six months old.

We would definitely recommend this place and would come back here again.

My husband and I stayed at the archer in March as our first babyless getaway! It was a wonderfully decorated new hotel right in downtown Napa! I will say that Napa is a little bit of a quiet town, but when you’ve been out winetasting all day you don’t stay up late anyway! We had the king suite with our own balcony and fireplace and it was lovely! The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was enormous with the giant soaking tub! I loved all the little touches and amenities that they provided including the turndown service. The concierge, Paula and Gil made dinner reservations for us and helped us map out our day at the wineries. I needed a steamer and the housekeepers were quick to bring one up for me to borrow! It was truly a luxurious hotel. The rooftop bar and pool were still under construction, expected to open next month in April. If we ever make it back to Napa we will absolutely stay at the archer again!

This is a great location if you're wanting to stay downtown. It's walking distance to various tasting rooms, shopping and eats, both fancy and cheap. Upon arrival we were greeted with some yummy bubbles, which is always a win. The rooms were gorgeous, comfy and spacious, and since it's a new hotel... we felt like we were the first ones to even stay in our rooms. We had breakfast in the Charlie Palmer each morning and the food was great, except our server was a bit busy and we often had to ask for water refills and our check a few times. They also have a great happy hour from 4-7, I believe, with great deals on drinks and yummy apps! The vibe is a hip, busy, bustling one! We did have a slight issue with our AC going out at 1am on our first night, but management was able to resolve and was more than fair with our final bill. Cameron is beyond great at his job! =) We would totally stay here again!

Room Tip: Even staying on the 2nd floor, it was super quiet!

Just returned home from a two day stay at the Archer Hotel in downtown Napa. This is a newer property and we were very happy with all aspects of our stay. Great location for downtown Napa...many restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars/tasting rooms, entertainment close by. It was also a great location for travelling around the valley itself.

The rooms (at least ours) was not "huge" but it was very comfortable and well appointed and clean. Bonus...wine fridge if you want to store something you purchased! The towels were fluffy and nice, the products were great, bed was extremely comfortable. Our particular room faced the inside/courtyard but did not feel like we were giving up privacy and it was quiet! I don't know if this was originally an older building but I think not as it was so quiet --could not hear other guests or even noise from hallway. I suspect the outward facing rooms are larger but for our purposes this was great.

The bar/lobby area hosts happy hour every evening and it was lively and busy--but still easy to find a place to sit. The service was great and servers were friendly. We did not eat dinner at Charlie Palmers but it looked like the restaurant was quite busy. The upstairs/rooftop bar does not open until April. It will certainly be nice!

As for parking we opted for the the valet. I was told (not sure if this is correct) the valet parks in a nearby garage on the top floor. I suppose we could have saved $26 and parked in one of the nearby garages ourselves but this service was convenient and comparable to what we pay in most hotels in the SF Bay Area. The only problem with the valet service is that the area in front of the hotel does not have a large area for cars waiting to be parked etc...so with the traffic on First street it is a bit congested at times. But nothing warranting a complaint.

Overall this was a great visit...loved the property and will definitely visit again. Thanks Archer Hotel ...

Enjoyed our stay at the Archer Hotel Napa. It's conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. When you arrive, you're greeted with a glass of sparkling wine which is a nice touch. The lobby in the evening is very lively.

Guest rooms are nice. Ask for an exterior room. The interior rooms are a bit dark for my liking. Rooms are equipped with Nespresso machines (ours wasn't working properly, but the hotel happily brought coffee upstairs for us) and mini wine fridges. Bathrooms are great. They are roomy and have great lighting. Beds are super comfy.

We had dinner at Charlie Palmer - their signature restaurant. The food was OK. My steak was very salty and when I said something, they took it off the bill.

I would say the only downside to this property is valet is extremely slow. At times it took 15 minutes.

The rooftop wasn't open yet - it will be in about a month. That is going to be a really fun spot. There will be another Charlie Palmer outlet, a small pool, fitness center and bar.

For the fitness center - they have a relationship with a gym close by that you can use while there's is still being built.

On a side note - just down the street, there is a local restaurant called Jax Diner which is a great breakfast and lunch spot. All the options are delicious.

Room Tip: Ask for an exterior room. Also rooms on the 2nd floor have larger balconies.
