Food was delicious but some a little too salty.
The scallops were well prepared. Couscous was very good, but a little salty. The vegetables were delicous. My husband loved the shrimp scampi

We had dinner here and really enjoyed our experience. We both had clam chowder and it was excellent. It had great flavor and consistency. The bread bowl was also very tasty. The crab cakes were good but needed more sauce. The ambiance was nice and so were the views. The server was attentive but could have been more friendly and didn’t like him trying to get us to order more than we wanted. Overall great food and worth the stop in.

We visited Monterey as a part of our California Coastal cruise. The "liquid sunshine" was pouring down on us but it didn't keep us from visiting this incredible restaurant for a most memorable lunch! :) We started with tasty calamari. For entrees, two of us had the daily special - seafood chowder. Delectable! One chowder was served in a beautiful clam shell shaped bowl and the other in a bread bowl with garlic & butter toasted "topper". Yummy! My hubby and I had the famous clam chowder in bread bowl - exquisite. A lovely Pinot Grigio and the most beautiful and tasty strawberry shortcake that we all shared for dessert. This was a memorable day and the rain made this the perfect cozy spot for a 5-star luncheon!

The clam chowder at OFG is far and away one of the best we've ever had. It's creamy with just the right saltiness and richness in flavor and feel. We also had the seafood sampler appetizer and that was also very good.

My husband and I ate dinner here tonight and it was delicious. Giovanni was our waiter and he was great! My husband ate the swordfish which was served over eggplant and mushroom ravioli. The eggplant was barely cooked and Giovanni immediately replaced it with grilled eggplant. I ordered the crab tower and it was light and tasty. We ordered the butterscotch bread pudding which was delicious but heavy. We were told all the desserts are made in house so you probably can't go wrong. Due to the eggplant problem we were given the dessert in the house. I was given a rd Rose when the bill arrived. Excellent service and delicious food!
