My friend and I met up in LA and were going to the Voice finale live show, so we needed to be near Universal Studios. This place is a short walk, like literally across the street from Universal. You feel like you're pulling up to Universal Studios when you are driving up. I could see Hogwarts from my window on the 7th floor.
It is a beautiful hotel, has valet for added convenience and fetched our car quickly each time. They had our room ready early which was so helpful, and the guy that brought our luggage up was great. Very clean and spacious room. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for a good central location, not far either to Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills, etc.

First of all, let me say that the staff here is amazing. They are attentive, courteous, polite, professional, and go above and beyond to welcome guests- and THEY ALWAYS HAVE A SMILE.

Yolanda, at the front desk, has been amazing every single time I have stayed here. I cannot go into all the details - but let's say, something unfortunate happened at a previous visit during check in... and when Yolanda found out - we were upgraded into the most amazing room I have ever stayed in. Fast forward, 6 months, on a return visit (Memorial Day Weekend) - I called the hotel to ask about the room I had booked through Hilton Honors, and I was connected to Yolanda - who not only remembered me, asked about my family, made a recommendation about the room type we should get, and cancelled the other reservation for me. When I checked in today, as I was entering the lobby - Yolanda recognized me and had my reservation on her screen and was already preparing for my upgrade... MIND YOU - I am not anybody important, just an ordinary teacher from Northern California, coming to LA to visit family who live in the area. She asked about my family, welcomed me back with a smile. After visiting my family for dinner and returned to my room, I was surprised and overwhelmed to find a fruit plate with place settings, and four specialty waters, with a note welcoming our family back.

Here's the truth - because of Yolanda and all the other staff here, I will ALWAYS return to this hotel.

Ok, so what else do I like - the rooms are clean and very comfortable, housekeeping and guest services are prompt to respond to a request, the pool staff are amazing and thoughtful, and as a Hilton Honors member - the benefits are great. It's an easy walk to Universal Studios, and if the uphill is too much - they provide shuttle service.

I love the location also, even if you don't go to Universal Studios - it's easy to get anywhere in the LA/Hollywood area.

Room tip: Corner rooms have great views. No matter which way you face - whether the city, Universal Studios, or the highway - you can't go wrong.

There are only two hotels right by Universal Studios (this Hilton and a Sheraton) and this is probably the better choice. It is closer to the Universal Studios entrance than the Sheraton, with a shorter and easier (less of a hillside) walk. When we were on the shared shuttle bus to the entrance, several people from the Sheraton were saying there were only two hotel elevators and one of them wasn't working, thereby creating long delays getting to and from the rooms. This Hilton, by contrast, had at least five elevators. The staff were friendly (although some locations seemed understaffed at times) and the room clean and well laid-out. We had no sound problems from people in adjacent rooms or outside our door. Our only complaint deals with restaurant and bar problems at dinner time, but as long as you don't need those (the breakfast was fine), then this is good pick.

Last leg if our USA trip and our visit to Universal Studios . For a first time visitor to the area this hotel was comfortable, we had an excellent view of Universal Studios.

The hotel is walking distance to Universal City walk with the shopping and restaurants available.

The checkin process was very easy as I had pre booked online and the room was ready when we arrived which was fabulous.

Plenty of parking available even though a little pricey.

The room was large , had a three seater sofa , desk , huge bathroom . Excellent bathroom amenities supplied by Crabtree and Evelyn. Bed was average in comfort.

If your not a member of Hilton’s loyalty program join up so you can receive free internet access during your stay or otherwise you will be charged.

All in all a excellent and convenient stay at this hotel.

Each year we stay at the Hilton Universal City when we conduct a large charity wine auction at Warner Bros. Studios. We lead a group of volunteers, sponsors, winemakers and chefs on a very complex itinerary and the Hilton is our home base for it all. We could not expect more from the Hilton and they exceed in every category from service to food with great rooms, an exemplary staff and a total experience that would be difficult to match by others.
