Clean, well looked after and appointed rooms. In fact, we preferred this hotel to the Biltmore, hands down, especially for the size of bathroom and cleanliness. The only downside was the lack of bar fridge in the room and not enough sugar/creamers for the coffee machine. We rectified that and were given a huge bag full of coffee bits and pieces! Have stayed at this hotel twice and staff are really nice, too. California Plaza is a little out of the way for restaurants. They are about, but not many to choose from within a short walk. We did visit the Grand Central Market a couple of times, which I thought was a little rough around the edges. (Use Angels Flight to get there and back, worth 50c with the Tap Card/$1 without the Tap card). The only kind of fast food about at night was Subway, if that's your thing. The pizza place in California Plaza, outside the back of the hotel, made some good pizzas, but closed at 8.30pm. I would definitely stay here for a third time.

Room Tip: There aren't really any views of which to speak, so any room should be ok

Not allow you to check in even the room is available. Arrives at 1pm? Stayed in lobby until 4pm to allow you to enter room. Want to give 0 points. But the least I can give is 1. There are a lot of good hotels. Try to avoid this one. Furthermore, parking is 49$ plus tips each day. Budget that in your cost also

Great, great customer service, convenient location in the heart of downtown LA. Helpful shuttle. Highly recommended for business or pleasure. Not a great fan of LA, but if you're going, this is the place to stay.

The room is okay. Needs updating and cleaning. The shower pressure in room 1004 is awful. The worst part is that room service never picks up the dishes. They stay outside the door for hours. All 3 nights there were dirty dishes sitting outside the rooms. Even after I asked them to be picked up they never did. It is gross.
The nice service offered is a driver who takes you around within 3 miles of the hotel.
I hope by the time I finish writing this the dishes are gone before the bugs start to come. GROSS!!!!

We were in LA for a wedding and our original accommodations fell through. The Omni was able to get us in last minute and we were glad to stay there. The space felt like it was striving for opulence, but I'm not sure I would describe it as opulent. We did take advantage of the valet service (which at times was disorganized) and when we arrived, we were greeted in the foyer with a glass of wine and kind service. The rooms were average for a hotel of this caliber and room service was sufficient but not excellent. The rates were quite high for our experience. The space was clean and some of the rooms were under construction which added an element of noise in the AM, but the hotel was in a central location for us and offered us the respite we were seeking.
