They had a nice variety with lunch specials, sandwiches, soups, salads and snacks. We shared a chinese chicken salad @ $17 but it was fresh & crisp. The seating on the patio was pleasant with GR8 views. Some families also brought their own sandwiches and foods.

Pretty nice selection of snacks and coffee for those in need for a fast calories intake on a more healthy side (ok, this is not an organic caffee, just a nice cafeteria where they do not serve burgers, and apart from the cookies you can choose some green staff, too).

Well run cafeteria style but by section of food categories and tastes. Good signage of what is available. Priced reasonably too. Can eat indoors or enjoy the tables outdoors. Very fresh food.

Museum cafes are always a little pricey. This one is mainly reasonable, with a tad extra for the ambiance, and has a nice variety of options: sandwiches, salads, hot main plates, burgers, pizza, etc. All of it is pretty well made though the pizza has that tame quality you find in institutional versions (nothing deliciously drippy). The salads are decently made if unoriginal. The hot options are usually nicely varied; if you want to assemble a plate you probably can find a mix to your satisfaction. They have lower-priced, though not quite cheap options. Still, if you decide to have lunch while visiting the museum, you'll probably be happy enough with the food and delighted with the view. Even the inside space is airy and light.

We had a most enjoyable lunch at the Cafe, which contributed to our enjoyment of our visit to the Getty Centrer.

We were slightly dubious as we entered the very large space that the meal might be "institutional cafeteria". We were pleasantly surprised that it was not!

There was an extensive selection, grouped into several different types which reduced the lines at each. We had excellent fresh-cut sandwiches. The fillings were tasty and the bread fresh.

The servers were friendly and efficient.

The dining space is very large, but uncrowded and even the interior is light. While the view from the outdoor areas was superior, from inside tables one still had pleasant vistas of the surrounding hills.

Lunch at the Cafe contributed to a great day at The Getty.
