My husband and I travel a lot! We love Hyatt Hotels. This was our first stay at the Hyatt in La Jolla. Our room was nice - it as on the 11th floor and faced the pool. The facility is beautiful. We had family members join us by the pool for the day. The service by the pool and at the bar inside was great. We bought a s’more kit to enjoy by one of the many fire pits. We met several employees that had been with the company for over 25 years! In my mind, that speaks volumes about Hyatt Hotels! We hope to return soon.

Rooms great, pool is excellent, staff is mildly interested in guest happiness, we were stuck in the crummy old section didn’t have a bath for out baby but they agreed to switch us to the tower after some persuasion, poolside service good, beds very comfortable, be aware that parking fees, resort fees, and tax are roughly another $90 per night!! Ouch.

We stayed at Hyatt Regency two nights for UCSD graduation. The location is very convenience and close to UCSD. Across highway there is plenty of places for foods and supermarket like wholefood. As other review mentioned, self parking is hard. You can barely find where is self parking lot but valet parking service is great. The hotel always have someone greeting you in front and open the car door even you are just dropping guests. We have to switch to another room for the second night. The management is on top of it, all we need to do is to wait for the phone call when the next room is ready. This area has been under construction from 1st year we came to UCSD and next to busy highway so noise is expected but we can hardly hear any noise from our room.

Room Tip: Rooms facing to valet parking and front are less noise

Clean expansive property. Excellent customer service and variety of food in the hotel and literally across the parking lot. Very central. Parking isn't great unless you valet. Overall quiet rooms and close vending.

1. This hotel is next to highway, woke up 2AM because of noise.
2. They have a bar at the first floor which plays rock roof music until midnight.
3. The toilet in my room refill water every 5 mins and the noise was so big. I had to get up at 4AM but still couldn't fix it.
4. Tried to order drinks at the bar, apparently my bartender has strong opinion against Asian.
5. Even they charge $30 daily parking fee, they wouldn't give access to the last date. Meaning, at the checkout date, the room wouldn't let you in and out of garage. I had to call the help many times.

Room Tip: noisy bar, highway nose will keep awake all night
