We traveled to LA in February and drove to Joshua Tree National Park (everything you hear about traffic in LA is true :) ). Park was lovely. The day was very cold and windy but you can drive to everything and stop along the way to sightsee and hike. The views are vast and wonderous. Would like to go back again and spend more time. Traveled during the PHE.

On our way back from Palm Springs we drove thru. Pretty interesting. Took photos and drove all through the park. Didn’t get out. Chilly 45 degrees. Great trees and rock formations

This is a very nice park. We went for a day trip from Las Vegas. We happened to be there during a rare desert snow storm. The Joshua Trees were actually lovely with snow on them. We did some hikes and visited the Cholla Cactus Garden, Skull Rock, and the Ocotillo Patch roadside stops.

Went for the day while on a socially distant road trip. It was cold and windy but beautiful. So much to explore and learn. Just seeing it made us want to come back and camp here.

So grateful to have the stunning National Parks to enjoy, and Joshua Tree is no exception. A "must see" if your anywhere within driving distance. From the West Entrance you are quickly greeted by the amazing fields of Joshua Trees and stunning rock formations. Can do every level of activity from driving through in your car, to hiking very short flat distances, to scrambling on rocks, all the way up to class 5 rock climbing (and we've done all of those over the years!). So unique you'll think you are on another planet. Restrooms and parking are plentiful in the climbing areas and the park is always spotless and public areas very well maintained. Be aware of weather fronts, ran into an actual blizzard on this trip, we crazy to see! Heading out the entrance to I-10 will send you by the unique and fascinating Cholla Catus Garden.
