Beautiful setting--cottages very well maintained--comfortable and cozy--gorgeous gardens--breakfast hardy and healthy--outdoor seating for just relaxing--charming and helpful owners--they know a LOT about wines and give great advice for visiting vineyards and other area sights--walking distance to town

The cottages are clean, comfortable, and create the perfect getaway. This place gives the illusion that you have escaped to the woods, white still being conveniently close to town and walking distance to restaurants. The pool lounge was the ideal place to wind down after a long day in the sun at the river. We couldn't ask for a better stay and can't wait to return!

These cottages are delightful - best stay of our vacation. Fireplaces for warmth, comfy room, beautiful grounds, excellent & delicious breakfast, helpful staff. The place is immaculately kept up. Wish I could return to stay again. Close to golf course to the west a few miles, which was a nice place for lunch.

The best part of these cottages is the setting in partially forested and partially landscaped acreage along Hwy 116. Being about 2 to 3 blocks to Guerneville where the majority of the area's restaurants, bars and shops are located and 13 miles from Jenner and the coast, Fern Grove Cottages are well-located. The hosts are quite welcoming and personable and eager to recommend places to go. Breakfast is included, which consisted of pastries, bagels, homemade granola, yogurt, fresh strawberries, hard boiled eggs, coffee, teas and orange juice.

The cottage (#4) was a knotty pine paneled cabin with a separate bedroom and sitting room all Berber carpeted. Most of the cabins are dark because you are under very tall redwood trees. Our cottages' carpet was badly stained in several places, and the bathroom shower head had accumulated mineral deposits. A kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator and sink is provided, but the kitchen towels were heavily stained. There is a television located in the sitting room but not in the bedroom.

The room rate was probably about average but seemed high even for Memorial Day weekend.

Overall, these are average accommodations with room for improvement.

Not sure I want to let too many know about this place as we might find it hard to get in again.

Looked for a “city” getaway to relax for the weekend, came upon Fern Grove. All I can say is, “glad we did”...

From the staff to the accommodation, the garden, with BBQ’s, the breakfast & a great pool (in season). We happened upon a real gem!

A lovely country oasis yet, close to all we needed, cafes, restaurants & supermarket. We also had our pooch with us, he was more than happily accommodated.

We were not interested in visiting wineries or tourist attractions, we just wanted to relax and this place provided exactly what we wanted. In saying that, very conveniently located if you wanted to play the “tourist.

The only negative I have about the place, we had to leave!

Look forward to returning in the near future.
