This place is a hidden gem, tucked within 11 miles of Yosemite. We spent 4 days in late April. The king cabin was perfect. Loved the little gas heating stove that was tied to the temperature gauge so it automatically comes on when needed. Quite comfortable! The grounds are lovely with walking paths taking you to your cabins from the main area. We ended up eating all 4 dinners at the Tavern/Restaurant. The food was good and the service friendly. The General Store provides all you need for lunches and snacks and the prices were quite reasonable. The true highlight of our trip was the Wonders of Yosemite all day tour we took with Julia from the Rec Desk. She was a great guide, very personable who took us to places we had not been on our personal tours of the park. She even took us to a place that isn’t usually toured for lunch and we sat almost under a waterfall in perfect quiet from the hustle and bustle of the park. We can’t say enough good things about Julia. We really appreciated her tailoring the tour to our interests. I highly recommend the Evergreen Lodge and doing a tour with them.

Room tip: We were in Dogwood 5, which was good but would have preferred to have Dogwood 6 due to the better sun availability on the deck.

My family and I went late April 2021 and stayed at the Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite. It was awesome, The Lodge is about 45 minutes out of the park and is secluded. We saw a black bear on the road leading up there and many deer. The lodge has PLENTY of activities for kids as wel had a heated pool and Jacuzzi.

We did a range of light tour with tour guide Julia. She was an awesome guide and was very good with our kids. She took us to several hidden gems in the park. I would highly recommend asking for Julia for a guide in Yosemite. She knows a lot of history of the park and answered our kids questions.

We would definitely come back to this lodge!

We found the Evergreen Lodge online because they have EV car chargers, and we are so glad we did. What a beautiful Lodge, cabins, and common areas. The restaurant is fantastic for all meals, and the staff is so welcoming. My husband and I stayed in a Deluxe cabin, and the amenities are great (shampoo & body wash, etc, Alexa device, and nice chairs on the deck). Comfortable bed and plenty of room to hang our hiking packs and store our clothes. We also appreciated the large bathroom. The Lodge is about an hour drive to Yosemite Valley, but you can also enjoy the park via the nearby Hetch Hetchy entrance. We would definitely stay here again!

Every year I come up with a group of friends who all climbed Half Dome together in 2015. Evergreen is our favorite place to stay. It’s really a special property... there’s history here, and you really feel like you’re in the woods in your own private cabin - because you are!! Staff is always delightful, amenities and service on point, and fun factor is high. They just do a really good job all the way around... and proximity to Hetch Hetchy is a real bonus. Evergreen never disappoints.

The cabins are large inside and fully appointed with amenities. Lots of places to walk, close to Yosemite, and a large heated pool with a hot tub. The shoulder months are a perfect time to visit. Food was good in the restaurant and the service was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.
