Excellent location, close to downtown Glendale and HWY. Rooms are clean and reasonable size. Bathrooms need an update and very small. The pool is almost none existing ( more of a tub). The breakfast is great.

I travel primarily for business. Not sure if that matters. And I primarily stay at Hilton properties, but I will not be back to this one.

The "suite" layout is wierd and completely inefficient. Not feeling of a suite, more of a awkward use of space. You enter into the ktichen which then turns into a weird hallway like area that just ends with a desk at the end. Fine to work there if you like feeling like you're working in a broom closet.

I had an ADA "suite" so it has a walk in shower, which was in extreme disrepair, shooting water every which way but on me. Including into the adjacent exahust vent (aorry whomever is below me) and out into the restroom area so as to leave a nice lake in the middle of the super slippery tile floor. And I don't know what level of plumber they used, but it looked like a 3 year old cobbled it together with whatever erectorset pieces he could find. And the tile floor was very mildewy. Grout lines were black with... ? no light anywhere near the shower so it was a nice "feel around to try and get all the areas" kind of shower.

Bed was very soft. Too soft for me. Obviously this is a preference thing, but this bed was far different than any other Hilton bed I've slept in. And here is the thing that actually prompted me to write a review... NO OUTLETS anywhere near the bed to charge devices. Welcome to 2018! Seriously? It's like 1978 in here... outlets hidden behind the permanently affixed headboard?! This alone is enough to make me never come back. All it takes is a new LAMP with an outlet in it! Really?

Speaking of olden times... no free wifi? Seriously? Be prepared to spend $10 or $15 per day for wifi. And once you do, it sucks. Super slow and took for ever to load the registration pages (wasn't just my laptop... happened on my phone and ipad too).

Closet didn't have a laudry bag. Had to call and ask for one which turned into and argument over whether it was there... seriously? Why would I lie about this?

As far as the greater hotel. It's ok. They apparently have some kind of free happy hour each nice unti llike 8pm.. .which they set up on the bar... so there is no bar, until about 8pm. If you're travleing alone for work and want to order food at the bar... you'll be waiting until 8pm. Or you can go eat at the "restaurant" area which is tucked way over in the opposite side from the bar. Very wierd. Bartenders were nice though.

Side note... the elevator... no idea what they were going for here. It's one of those glass back, in the lobby, exposed elevators. Usually these are a bit design savy and look nice. Nope. Not this one. Looks like they built the elevator and then didn't cover it. Just cold metal, cables, gears, weights... all exposed for your "viewing pleasure"? Just looks like it isn't finished and in no way ties into the giant coy pond below it. So weird. If you're design savvy, it will give you the willies.

Other than that, I guess it was ok. But I won't be back.

PS - they recommended the Central Grille across the street. Again, if you are by yourself and want to eat at the bar... be prepared to sit amongst a bunch of drunks that argue and fight. They're "happy hour" seemed to go on and on.... and the bartender has no interest in wrangling them... even though this is supposed to be a semi-nice place to eat. But since I won't be back to this hotel... I won't need to be back to this restaurant either. Good riddance to them both.

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The full breakfast and evening reception each day were great. The outdoor pool/hot tub was also nice. I was disappointed when my interior room had no outside view, which made the room dark, in the daytime. All double rooms have an interior view. I would come back to this hotel only if traveling alone and could stay in a single room with an exterior view.

Super friendly and helpful hotel staff. Rooms definitely are a bit outdated, other than that it was a wonderful stay. Complimentary breakfast was always delicious. The location of the hotel was easily accessible, and was close to many different attractions such as Universal, and a few blocks from a large shopping mall.

Friendly staff. Very very clean. Comfortable bed. Spacious room with separate living room and bedroom. Great breakfast area. Nightly free food and beverage. Bar. Small pool. Decent little gym with free weights and cardio. Close to everything.
