If you want to wake up by the sound of the ocean and the waves- this is the right place for you! The rooms at first floor have a nice balcony and the rooms downstairs have direct access to the beach. The jacuzzi is a great plus to some of the rooms- you can relax inside the bubbly water and watch the ocean outside. It's in walking distance to glass beach, service was very friendly, breakfast in the morning very basic but with fresh fruits. Would definitely stay there again!

Very nice place, clean pet friendly room. The continental breakfast was a nice benefit and the use of complimentary robes. For a pet friendly room book a room in the back, the front room had very loud traffic noise. This is no fault of the hotel, just a heavy traffic road. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Pet friendly room in the front had very loud traffic noise, reserve a room in the back.

Thank you, joesD4825XN, for your review. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Being located next ti Highway 1, we do have traffic noise during the day but it tends to drop off later in the evening. Many of our guests tell us that they hear very little traffic noise during the night.

Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again very soon.

We stayed at Surf and Sand Lodge for one night recently. The room itself was lovely - clean and nicely appointed. The view from the oversized shower was amazing! The shower had two open sides - one to the bathroom area and one to the room, so you could see the ocean through the sliding doors. We stayed on the second floor so the ocean view was nice, but I would imagine that ocean views would be very limited from the 1st floor.

We did walk out the short paths from the hotel to the ocean. The beach below was small but beautiful.

Their continental breakfast was coffee, tea, milk, individually wrapped pastries, bananas, oatmeal, yogurt, and microwaveable breakfast burritos. It was sufficient to start the day. However, it would be helpful if the lodge would provide trays or something for people to carry food/drinks to their rooms, as there is no seating in the breakfast area.

Thank you, iu92, for your review. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. While our downstairs rooms do have ocean views, the view from the upstairs is much more expansive.

As to your suggestion of having trays for our guests at breakfast, the local health department does not allow us to provide trays since we don't have a commercial kitchen to wash them after use.

Thank you for staying with us and we hope that you can plan a return visit very soon!

Stayed one night here. Nice clean rooms by the ocean.

Walkable to beach.

Free hot drinks till lobby closes.

Breakfast ok. Fruits, Cereal, oatmeal and microwave breakfast burrito.

Nice staff.

Overall a great stay.

The rooms are in the town houses that have been converted to about 3-4 rooms per house. Same entrance with access to different rooms. There is patio seating, nice to eat breakfast or watch sunset or rise.

We only spent an afternoon and overnight here but it was a great place for enjoying the best Fort Bragg has to offer. The walking path that runs along the ocean passes right in front of here so you don't have to get in the car to take a lovely walk. After our walk we sat out on the patio. It's got a railing to keep your dog confined, but there's a gate to stairs off the patio so when you need to take your dog out for necessities you don't have to go back through the hallway entrance, which we found very convenient. The room was spacious and the bed very comfy. We thought it was a good value for an ocean view room. There's a continental breakfast but we opted for the Danny's just down the road. I would happily stay here again.

Thank you, Paraflicks, for your wonderful review. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that the weather cooperated so that you could take advantage of the nearby trail, which runs to MacKerricher State Park to the north and all the way to Noyo Harbor to the south.

Thank you, again, for staying with us and we look forward to seeing you on your next trip to the coast!
