This was the first time I'd ever eaten at this restaurant. I was there for a business lunch. The place is very small and doesn't have a lot of atmosphere. But that's okay, not a big deal as far as that goes. However, the sushi was a little disappointing in my opinion. It was good..., just not great. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best sushi I've ever had, I'd give this maybe a 6 or 7. I've had worse, but I've also had much better. This is 'sushi by the piece' kind of a place and is not 'all you can eat'. I felt that it was kind of pricey based on other places I've eaten which offered an all you can eat menu and have better sushi. All in all, I liked it, but didn't love it.

The sushi here is wonderful, fairly old school. Service has been consistently gracious. Comfortable, friendly atmosphere, and I've been a regular. Until tonight.
While downing the last bite of my meal I was suddenly asked by a new waitress (she practically barked at me) to vacate my seat at the sushi bar because a group wanted to sit there. In mid-bite!
Sorry, no longer my kind of place.

Dined here 9/26/2014. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The sashimi was wonderful, fresh and abundant choices. We had a wonderful dining experience, Will definitely dine here again.

I returned to AngoTei after nearly 18 years away, and it hadn't changed much--that's what made it feel like coming home! AngoTei is your proverbial "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant located in a very busy but non-descript strip center. The décor is almost non-existent, but the sushi is to die for. The fish is very fresh, the portions are good sized and the prices are very reasonable. This place has lots of fans and regulars, so it's easy to strike up a conversation at the small sushi bar. Get there early or late because its usually packed, but well worth the visit.

Its a small place, no reservations but first thing I found when I got there it was full. 2 chefs very friendly, the fish really fresh and good. Had BBQ giant clam then incredible Toro, ajji, hamachi, amberjack and so on. Try the shrimp boats. For sit at sushi bar evening this is a great choice.
