We loved staying at Franky Fare for 2 weeks during a visit to Fare, Huahine. My son was 9 years old then and we enjoyed our time with Jocelyn and Smith the hosts as they were always helping us feel at home. We rode bikes from the house to the beach and often had the dog follow us to our daily swims. Smith's family basically owns the whole street so there is no safer place to be.
We had a fabulous two weeks at Franky's Fare (bungalow) on Huahine. We loved it so much we tried to extend our stay for another week. Franky's was booked but Jocelyn, the host, found us a place to stay through friends so we were able to enjoy a third week on Huahine.
The rental was airy, screened, the bed comfortable, and had everything we needed to make ourselves comfortable for a long stay. We are sorry we hadn't booked more time on Huahine. It is a very special place and the people friendly and fun.
One advantage of staying in Fare on Huahine is the option of eating out if we wanted to. The huge grocery store in town carried almost everything we needed (island life is a bit different, not everything is available every day) but it was great to have reasonably priced roulottes and restaurants nearby.
An important addition to the rental was the use of bikes. We were within easy walking distance to the beach and town but it was warm so having access to bicycles made our trips easy and fun.
This was also a very safe location. Honestly, we never felt unsafe in FP but this rental is located on a family road which makes it especially safe.
Jocelyn and Smith are the best hosts ever!
