Up from England visiting family in Scotland and we visited the Tin Roof Diner. Had heard lots about it and we were not disappointed. Popped in for lunch and were welcomed warmly. Very clean and reminded me of some American Diners. Great choice of menu and we had a lovely fresh lunch. It is a real find and I would encourage locals and visitors alike to dine here. We will certainly tell anyone and everyone that we know that if they find themselves in Kintyre then a visit to The Tin Roof is a MUST.

We recently made a first time visit to this Café, although a little out of the way, we found it a worth while visit.
There was a varied menu, not a ‘cheap eat’, but the food was lovely.
There is also an interesting Gift shop and an amount of Military type items.
It can be busy at times so recommend booking.
It is a family concern, and well worth supporting. I shall visit again when back on holiday

I had a cajun chicken burger and my mum had a ham toastie, tea for two and one slice of cake to share. The bill came to £31.20! The chicken burger was £10.95, the ham toastie was £5.95 so under £17 for main food bill. So, we got charged over £14 for tea and one slice of cake! Extortionate! That was the dearest tea and cake we have ever had in our life and we only shared a cake! The food we ate was lovely but I'm sorry we will not be back as we feel really ripped off with the tea and cake prices. 3 stars as food was good but prices were not!
