Another beautiful trip to Borrego to stay at LaCasa Del Zorro. We were immediately in the pool. The rooms were immaculate, the bedding as usual white, soft and inviting. We will return again and again.

Other reviewers who said there is nothing to do in area or it was a boring experience clearly did not even try to have fun. There is tons to do at the hotel AND in town/surrounding desert. And tons of wildlife and beautiful fauna to discover too.

I have stayed at La Casa del Zorro several times and it is my go to luxury hotel experience. What I love is the serenity. You can walk around the grounds and hardly see a soul. The Fox Den bar has an incredible mural from the 1940's, low lighting and unique architectural that makes it a soothing drink retreat. Weekend nights there is usually a band poolside. There are also 2 huge pools on the property besides the 3 by the rooms. Their spa accommodations are wonderful. I have stayed in the casitas which are older and charming, and in the newer rooms. Both are very nice. La Casa del Zorro has an interesting history as well that started in 1937.

Room tip: If you get a massage, ask for light pressure to start. I requested hard pressure, and was left a little sore.

Dear RT66momma:

Appreciate your terrific review. Sunsets and Sunrises in the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Moments to treasure for a lifetime. Then there are the Night Skies. Blankets of stars as deep as the eyes can travel. A sight that will change you forever.

Beautiful place to stay! The grounds are so peaceful...and the rooms are beautiful.
Staff is very friendly and the facilities are amazing. Bikes are available for you to enjoy and the pools are always in great shape.
