“Lovely ”
Reviewed 13 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Was really impressed with the lodge we stayed in . The owners had thought of everything. I was over the moon to discover a pint of milk had been put in the fridge n delighted with the little gesture of chocolates and biscuits on our arrival.
We stayed for 4 nights at a reasonable price , cheaper than what most of the hotels in the area was asking. We have family living in hawick so we'll definetely be staying here again in future.

“Great location, great facilities, dog friendly, good value, definitely one to remember.”
Reviewed 31 January 2014 for a stay in November 2013

This was our second stay at the spinney, we stayed for 5 days in June and used it for a base for a walking holiday with the dogs. We couldn't resist returning in the winter. The cabins are well furnished, a small dining table and chairs and a comfy leather sofa and chair. The bed was comfortable with plenty of extra blankets provided. The bathroom was clean and perfectly adequate with a hot shower. The kitchen was good with fridge, oven / grill plenty of pots and pans etc. really you could just pack an overnight bag and turn up. We didn't use the kitchen for much other than breakfast as to be honest the cafés and bistros in and around Jedburgh are fantastic. The dog walking field was ideal, large and secure and the addition of a dog poo bin since our last visit was great. We will definitely stay here again.

“A little gem!”
Reviewed 17 August 2013 for a stay in April 2013

Beautiful well kept lodges in an idyllic location. We stayed for three nights when travelling up to Glasgow for a wedding. The lodge itself was a comfortable and homely but stylish log cabin with an open plan living room/dining kitchen, a separate double bedroom and a bathroom. Everything was thought of - hair dryers, well-lit make up mirrors and shaving points to mention but a few of the excellent facilities. The lodge was well insulated and heated. There was a welcome basket with tea, coffee and belgian chocolates and milk in the fridge.Games, books, Wi-fi access and a selection of DVDs were also provided. The log cabin had a deck with garden furniture for relaxing in the evening and there was even a dog walking field on the property. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and we had a truly delightful and relaxing stay. I would recommend The Spinney to anyone and we will definitely return again and again.
