“Lovely country retreat”
Reviewed 18 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We enjoyed a wonderful relaxing week at this property. It's location is stunning surrounded by lovely green rolling countryside with Strangford lough nearby. The house is very well equipped with everything needed for self catering. There is also a very good hotel in Portaferry town which serves excellent food. The property is very well furnished and the real fire in the sitting room is a real plus. Altogether this is a lovely peaceful place to stay. We will definitely be back.

“Great Family Getaway”
Reviewed 16 September 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Six adults and two wee boys stayed at Gweebarra for a week. All Australians, attending a wedding in Portaferry. It was a very clean and homely self catering property, ideally equipped for travellers to unwind and prepare for the next leg of their journey.
The owner, Keiron was very friendly and welcoming and provided home made cake and fruit on arrival and offered any assistance required.
The house is situated in a very quiet and beautiful rural location in County Down with farms and nature all around. The gardens are well maintained and ideal for the children to play.
Whilst there, we visited the Antrim coast and Mountains of Mourne so the location is not a deterrent for day trips to other parts of Northern Ireland
