Our stay at this townhouse was an inspired last minute choice. In such situations you always wonder why if this is a really nice place is it still available? In this case we were very lucky - this is a very nice townhouse with air conditioning and accommodation over three floors. Ground floor comprises a foyer leading to the first floor stairway. The first floor Is comprised of both a lounge with sofas and TVs and a well appointed kitchen - dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric job/ oven, kettle, toaster and a walk in store cupboard etc. From the kitchen access is gained to a terrace with table and chairs and two sun loungers. The laundry room (washing machine)is located on this terrace as are the two air conditioning units. A toilet and shower are accessed from the lounge. All three bedrooms are located on the second floor. One bedroom has en-suite facilities There is also an additional bathroom and lots of cupboard space.
There were three small things which were a little on the negative - 1. There is no safe, 2. If travelling by taxi (which we did) you cannot get access to Carrer General Bosch. We walked about 100 yards from a small nearby square guided by our very helpful taxi driver. 3. We found the beds to be a bit on the hard side. Some may welcome this.
However these minor points have to be balanced against the following; the property is well maintained and colourful. We understand it is owned by an artist. The location of this property is fabulous e.g. 2 mins to Placa Major and some very good restaurants and 2 mins to Calvari steps and great views of the immediate area (which we climbed every morning before breakfast) General Bosch is a very quiet street which you share with local families. The only regular sounds are the chimes of the church clock at the quarter and hour. There is a small but well stocked supermarket less than 100 yards from this property. Would we stay here again -YES we would.
